HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam (pic, L) sent a congratulatory message to Republic of Korea President Park Geun-hye (pic, C), as well as the government and people of the country on the occasion of their National Foundation Day.
In his message, His Majesty said he greatly valued the warm friendship and long-standing cooperation enjoyed by the two countries and that he looked forward to continuing to work on strengthening bilateral and regional ties in the years ahead.
His Majesty also said he appreciated Her Excellency's continuous support during Brunei Darussalam's chairmanship of ASEAN and that he looked forward to welcoming the South Korean president to Brunei next week for the ASEAN summit.
In ending his message to Her Excellency, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes for the future.
In a separate message, His Majesty sent a congratulatory message to Federal Republic of Germany President Joachim Gauck (pic, R), as well as the German government and people on the occasion of the country's Unity Day.
In the message to His Excellency, His Majesty said he looked forward to strengthening the much-valued relations between the peoples of the two countries through bilateral and international work together in the coming year.
In ending the message, His Majesty extended his kindest regards and very best wishes to the German president on the country's national day.
In a separate message, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to the Republic of Korea on its National Foundation Day.
HRH congratulated Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Trade Yun Byung-Se and the Korean government and people on their National Foundation Day.
"I greatly value the close friendship enjoyed by our people and the long-standing cooperation between our countries in many areas," His Royal Highness said.
His Royal Highness went on to say he appreciated the support rendered by South Korea to Brunei during its chairmanship of ASEAN this year and that he looked forward to continuing to work together to strengthen the valuable bilateral ties and shared regional partnerships enjoyed by the two countries.
His Royal Highness ended his note by sending his kindest regards and very best wishes to the South Korean minister. — Joana Tan

SI PUNGGUK AKAN MENYANYIKAN MELODI INDAH
Jangan kejap ada kejap tak ada
Dikuatiri akar rindumu terbelit lilit dihatiku
Nggak tega kulontarkan di ombak rindu....
Makanya anak cucu akan terus merindu
Dan jadilah mereka bagaikan si pungguk rindukan bulan
Mendayu-dayu sayu memanggil moyang mereka
Yang nggak mahu membalas rindu....
Makanya pada malam itu tiadalah
Indahnya pelangi malam yang tak berbintang...
Kasihan mereka ....hehehe

kau tak pernah menipu
bagaimana wajahku
begitulah kau
seiras saling tak tumpah
walaupun sama saling tak tumpah
kau tak ada hati dan perasaan
Bila ku tiada kau pun hilang
bila kulihat mu baru kau ada
yang kukagumi dengan kau
satu aje cermin
kau tetap setia menampakkan wajahku
aku boleh berkata-kata
kau ikut apa yang kukata
tapi kau tak boleh berkata-kata
setiap hari kulihat cermin
tapi kau tak pernah tahu apa
yang kumahukan dalam hidup ini?
Tak apalah kalau aku cakap dengan engkau pun
tak guna sebab kau bisu tak boleh beri

Dalam luka ada duri
Dalam luka ada nanah yang berbau
Dalam luka hatiku haru biru
Bila ku berdiri di cermin
Wajahku berkerut seribu
Dia mengikut gerak wajahku yang berkerut itu
Tapi cermin tetap tidak punyai hati
Dia bisu dan terus membisu
Justeru dia tidak pernah faham apa maksudku
Kerana dia tidak punyai hati
Aku terus menangis hiba
Dia pun turut menangis
Tapi tidak pernah simpati padaku
Lama sudah kutahu dia tidak punya perasan
